Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa: Stina Blackstenius scores first-half hat-trick

Gunners reach 10th League Cup final

Frida Maanum also on target as holders Arsenal dominate

Holders Arsenal reached the Women's League Cup final for a 10th time with a dominant display against Aston Villa.

Frida Maanum put the Gunners ahead before a Stina Blackstenius hat-trick secured a comfortable win.

Arsenal will now face holders Manchester City in the semi-finals.

Villa had beaten Arsenal in the league last month but were outclassed by Jonas Eidevall's side at Meadow Park.

Maanum struck the opener from the edge of the area before Blackstenius headed in a Katie McCabe cross.

Blackstenius then scored from close range after a driving run from McCabe and completed her hat-trick with a superb finish into the top corner.

Arsenal have won the League Cup five times, most recently in 2018.

Villa, who are 10th in the WSL, have never won the trophy.
