Ferrari Reserve Driver Robert Shwartzman Set for FP1 Debut at Zandvoort

Exclusive: Vasseur Confirms Rookie Allocation

Russian Driver to Get First Run in SF23

Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur has announced that reserve driver Robert Shwartzman will be taking part in both of the team's allocated rookie practice sessions (FP1) this season. The 23-year-old Russian is set to make his debut in the SF23 at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort this Friday.

Shwartzman, who was born on September 16, 1999, has already had a taste of the Ferrari machinery, having driven for both Haas F1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari in the end-of-season test at Abu Dhabi last year. His confirmation as a test driver for the Scuderia for 2023 has given him the opportunity to further showcase his talent.

After his FP1 appearance at Zandvoort, Shwartzman is expected to take part in another rookie session later in the season. This is a valuable opportunity for the young driver to gain experience in a Formula 1 car and potentially impress the Ferrari hierarchy.
